Finding The Studio
We are located at 4201 N. Ravenswood Ave. We're tucked away inside the century-old Deagan Building in Ravenswood, Chicago. There are two Ravenswood Ave's that run parallel to each other. The studio is on the East side at the corner of Ravenswood and Berteau.
*Google Maps often takes people to the wrong side of Ravenswood. Find me by using the Rojo Gusano address connected (to the left) of the studio: 4217 N Ravenswood Ave.
You won't see a sign at all, look for this building. The door is to the right of our arched windows. The address will be on the window.
For access, please dial "#105" on the keypad/callbox (hash mark and then "105").
Once you're inside, walk up the handful of stairs, and I'm the door marked A105 on the left (before the giant stairwell).
If you're traveling in, know the area is safe and a great place to explore on foot. Uber and Lyft are incredibly prevalent here and can get you anywhere you need to be! (Uber pickup from the studio usually takes 2-6 minutes). The train stops close to the studio as well.
Parking is hit or miss. It's free near the studio, but often in the morning, it'll take 4 or 5 laps around the block before someone leaves, and you can snag the spot.
Also! If you're flying in, O'hare is much closer to the studio. However, the commute from Midway can be lengthy.
Where To Stay
Of course, you can stay downtown, but we're about 6 miles away, up North. With traffic, the commute can be anywhere from 20 minutes to over an hour.
Many of my clients stay at Hotel Lincoln, which is located next to Lincoln Park and has many great things to do surrounding it.
Otherwise, I've found many clients use AirBNB and find some lovely spaces around Ravenswood, Lakeview, North Center, or the Lincoln Park area.
